Dionne Hiebert has been an investigator for over twenty years and a photographer for 30 years. She is experienced in criminal defense investigations, civil litigation, crime scene documentation, forensics photography and digital imaging. EDUCATION/BACKGROUNDAfter graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Photography and a minor in Biology, Dionne started her career in Medical Photography documenting surgeries, patient studies and autopsies at St. Luke's Episcopal and MD Anderson, Houston, TX and Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL. These teaching hospitals utilized her photographic images in text books, newsletters and seminars to advance medical technology and procedures.
Dionne later transitioned into Crime Scene Photography for the Houston Fire Department where she served as the sole photographer for all fire fatalities and multiple alarm fires within the Houston area. She received training and certifications in latent print examination, blood spatter, evidence collection and recovery, along with fire and explosives training. In turn, she trained arson investigators on photography and crime scene documentation. |
FEDERAL TRAININGDionne attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as a Special Agent for the Department of Treasury, United States Customs Service. As a Special Agent, Dionne received advanced training and certifications in undercover operations, fraud investigations, financial investigations, crimes against children and more. She presented blocks of training on money laundering and drug smuggling before state, local and federal law enforcement officers. During the course of her federal career, Dionne processed hundreds of crime scenes and produced thousands of evidentiary photographs to facilitate the investigative and prosecution efforts. Many of these photographs were submitted into evidence as exhibits along with Dionne's court room testimony regarding the production and accuracy of the images.
